This morning the rain came. It wasn't going to stop us. We were heading for the Champs-Elysees. We thought we would stop again at Angelina's which was on the way but when we got there the line outside was about 20 parties ahead of us and before when we had gone there we waited about 20 minutes when only 2 parties were before us. We had coffee at a small cafe and walked on. T
he Champs-Elysees finally came into view. All the shops there are the same as back in Beverly Hills but they do have a Lauduree. By now it was lunch time.
I ordered the Autumn Salad which was truly as good as it looked. It had a base of broccoli, miniature figs, house-made mini-potato chips, with a center of cheese. Yum!
Karen ordered a cheese plate. What can I say?
Her dessert was a raspberry sorbet . Truly beautiful!
I ordered a scoop of Rose Petal Ice Cream which truly tasted the way roses smell. Even thou the presentation seemed plain, the flavor was yummy.
When we left it was raining hard and although we walked up the street to see the Arch of Triumph.
Even though it was early it was raining and we opted for a cab and returned to our hotel. We will go back out this evening.
